Chit Chat

A beautiful fall day, color abounds, blue sky & nice temperatures.

Oh my old lady coming through, I made 2 posts in one day.... so I moved on to post on Saturday. 😉

I'm making Oatmeal Raisin, oh dear that spelling doesn't look right, I changed it several times, and finally had to look it up. So raisin it is. Anyway that recipe will be forthcoming.

Chores......

The vaccum is out, chicken soup is on the go, supper to be made later. Hook time later, I've got things need to be done first.

Moving things around today, I've brought out my little what I call colonial tree. A sweet little fallscape, not overdone by any stretch.  A few salt ornaments & bows. I found a place which sells tin icicles colonial style, they will go on this tree, they are 3" tall. I ordered some for our regular christmas tree also.

I think they will look darling on my little prim tree.

The corn husk doll, and the little wooden scene I found & purchased at a local Hungarian Festival on different  years. The corn husk doll was $1.00, and the little wooden farm was $6.00. There is always a table there where people have went to Hungary and found these things, and donated them to support the Hungarian Scouts. The wooden has a little pump which actually moves.  I am in part Hungarian and so these were treasure for me to find.

~Have a beautiful weekend~

  2. That corn husk doll is pretty. I don't think I've seen before that had a face. Usually they don't.
Re your comment on my blog. I'd love to update my blog roll but the little tool icon that used to exist disappeared and now I don't know how to add or take off blogs. Any ideas would be welcome. For that matter I'd also like to stop being anonymous but that my son may be able to help with. It's a long weekend so he may have time to take a look. GM

  3. I really have to try and get all the Christmas gifts sewn and the table put away. In a couple of weeks I want to get our trees up.... Well I hope to do so. Also after almost three days away I have lots to catch up on here at home and with blog visiting.

    God bless.
