Hello Homebodies!
I'm moving my hook & making pretty things!
I saw a free pattern which interests me, I have not started it yet and if I do and it turns out your will see it here, with a link for the tutorial by the creator.
I will usually make at least one thing with yarn or thread for Christmas, I never know what it will be.
This is a vintage pattern. See post link to see how it turned out.
I found something for this year, but first needed the yarn, as you know I do not collect or hoard yarn, but rather will purchase it for a project.
I found the most beautiful sparkle yarn, irredescent sparkles, the yarn is more of blue spruce color not a green green color. I have a fancy for this shade of green, and with the sparkles...over the moon excited to start a project.
I got this from Herschners, Colorway Christmas Tree of their Holiday Lights Collection, it will be perfect for the project. I do love a yarn with a bit of sparkle, especially like this one
. Another one which I always have on hand which has irredescent sparkles is
Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn.
Colorway Snow
Most craft box stores have this, and this is also available from Herschners.
I am not an affiliate with these products or the stores, I just really think the yarn is so pretty.
I'm still working on the Cottage, and made a 2nd crinoline I'll be posting about soon.
If you make something with these yarns, leave a comment so I can visit and see!

Very exciting, Faith. I look forward to seeing what you create with that pretty yarn.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanna, so far it is working out. I did start over with a larger hook, but the yarn is so darn pretty. I thankful for the talented lady who created the pattern and shares it freely with others. I'll be giving her a shout out & credit where it is due.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to see what you make with this lovely sparkly yarn. I do like that green. I have some Caron Simply Soft in my yarn stash that was leftover from another project and love the feel of it. I will need to look for the yarn with a sparkle. I have an idea for some more Christmas ornaments.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The colour of blue spruce and with sparkles....that sounds lovely!
