I honestly do not know where the time goes these days. My last posting was sometime in April. Not like me. I can't say I've been super busy, maybe distracted. I cannot even account for the time or what I've done with it.

We made a trip to Amish, what I wanted to find was a claw foot tub. What I found was

a modified version, this is what is called a Hungarian Baby bath tub. I have never seen or heard of this before. It is enamel, and from 1938.
The Good Lord knows exactly what we need, when we need, it is always on time.
A full sized claw foot tub would have been a bit much to bring home, fill with dirt, and put in my little front garden.

From the tinker basket...

I've tried to move the hook, and made nothing. Cannot settle on a project, have bought yarn for project which I've not completed, not like me either.

I found a really pretty vintage afghan pattern, ordered it, and bought the yarn. After many, many attempts I gave up. This was a form of crochet which was new to me, the technique required carrying yarn across the row, changing colors often. I found it so stressful. Not on the hook any more, unfortunately. I like a challenge and learning something new, but after about 10 tries...I was done.

My "shade" goes down and I get foggy alot since I was ill a few years ago.  If there is anyone who has done tapestry crochet and has any suggestions about the yarn changes and carrying...please feel free to chime in.

  1. I've not been very active with my needle in the past week or sew ;-) either. I think while the weather is fine and the skies are blue, we are meant to be out in nature enjoying her beauty. Come autumn, we will turn once more towards those things we can find joy in while nestling near a warm fire :-)

  2. We are very cool here. I am hoping for some sun and heat and yet the extended forecast shows very little of either. Busy weaving here and since it is still cool knitting mitts.

    God bless.
