The peonies is another which has a lovely scent.
Good Morning! It is 6:02 am. I have been up since 4:00 am. No sense in lying in bed, the mind is whirling and so I got up. I made up a list of things I will take to the consignment store. I did the few dishes in the sink, put up some coffee, and went out to water the garden. I didn't do it yesterday, with the cooler temperatures the ground stayed moist. They are calling for a pleasant day again today.
When I stepped out into the hood, it was peaceful and quite, the birdsong was so vibrant, no other human creatures were stirring about, there was a beautiful butternut squash moon in the south sky. I looked it up it is the waning Gibbous phase. I've always loved the moon.
On tap for today!
Getting some things ready for the consignment store, I want to continue to pare down what I have, make it manageable, declutter. Gather up other things for Goodwill.
The Bread
The Amish white bread came out delicious as always. This is a no fail bread recipe. It slices lie a dream, and is moist. I had a slice this morning with butter with my coffee.
The recipe for this is on the previous posting.
Simple Joys not to be missed
That Honeysuckle smells amazing, I am going to make a tincture and dry some more flowers, the coolness of the air brings out the scent, so lovely.
Do any of you doing anything with Honeysuckle?

One of my Honeysuckles has gone crazy and invaded the Deutzia. Great yellow and white bunches are poking through. Once it's finished blooming I want to pull it out of the Deutzia and cut it back. It has never acted this way before.
My Peony is mostly done but I still poke my nose into those last blooms when I go by. The scent is delightful. GM
We don't have any honeysuckle near us and I haven't found any that is easy to pick. Your day sounds lovely.
God bless.
