We have birds that looks like this at our bird feeder. Some all brown and some with the red. Also visiting are the chickadees...which make me happy because they are the bird of Maine; my mothers family home state.

It is an American Red Finch. I looked it up. But this one that red is so vibrant. GOD doesn't make anything 2nd rate. Simple beauty.
