Something old and lovely, and something new fangled show & tell

A repost from the back in the day 2019

Howdy Do?

Another week has flown by, where does time go?

A trip to Goodwill today, I needed a small saucepan to melt down the soap brick I bough a few weeks ago. I'm all set I have that and the scent ( Rose) and a pretty mold.  Maybe next weekend, my guys will be at a Scout campout...

While I was there, I do like going through the dishes and plate section, more likely than not I find something. Today was no "eggception".  I had been on the lookout for one of these, but was looking for one which ( in my mind) cream colored with maybe pale yellow, pinks and blues.

But I found this delicious vintage glass one. I picked it up and put it back down, to think about it.
Which is usually a big NO NO. I went around again because I hadn't chosen a pot yet, and if it were still there I would get it. It was there.

I don't suppose there is a run on these anymore, which is why it was at Goodwill. I'll be
happy to the benefactor.

A lovely cut glass dish for deviled eggs. (heavy) $ 3.00

or crochet eggs

This is the handi work of my husbands mother, she gifted this to me and I put it up every Easter, there is lovely cut work around the edges.
so lovely and dainty

this is new fangled. It is my jelly bean candy dispenser.

It's not brand new, had it for a few years, I love jelly beans, anyway this holds 3 bags of the Brachs.
Just a fun little do dad. ! Mason jar, and a chicken feeder...ha! who knew?

I have that same egg platter, had it for YEARS! And yes, we still use it for deviled eggs. That is a gorgeous embroidery piece from your MIL. The jar and chicken feeder is a fun way to dispense jelly beans. Enjoy your day!

Nice! You have inspired me to make a trip to Goodwill soon. I do have a box of donations to take, so it may just happen. I have not decorated for Easter in years, and maybe I should? Maybe it would put me in a happier mood? I've been so consumed with other things in life, I didn't even realize Easter was this weekend. Gulp.

Let the happier, simple things consume you! Do absolutely color some eggs, we still do and our boys are grown, and they still like to do it, although it takes about 10 minutes. Best 10 minutes they spent all week. Happy Easter
