Happy Homebody Monday Salt Dough Crafting #

Hello Sweet Happy Homebuddy!

I've got some salt dough stars in the oven, using a star cookie cutter making cute little stars for the decor with the eggs.  The display should be done by weeks end, I'm working crochet piece which will go with the display. I do not decorate for 4th of July, other than to fly the flag. These eggs & stars will be stained so they will look "primitive", the stain will take off some of the brightness of the colors.  

I would say that I do not have a particular decorating theme. I like what I like and put all the things together to create a "FarmhouseWorthy" vibe. Nothing matches, and it doesn't really make any statement, except it makes me joyful. 

One week has went by, I'm still coughing etc, I don't feel bad, I just sound sick. Just today I got the tiniest bit of wif of my morning coffee, so that is an improvement. Little things bring the most joy.

This is the day the Lord has made

These eggs & stars will be stained so they will look "primitive", the stain will take off some of the brightness of the colors.  

 So this will be a one off for me.  

Have you made something with salt dough?   

 I have from many years ago now, from high school, so we are going back quite a way, but a beautiful brooch made with a dough of some kind. it has lasted me many years. 

    

Salt Dough

2 cups flour

1 cup salt

1 tbs oil

3/4-1 cup +-

Mix. This makes a really nice soft dough.  

This bakes for a while in a slow oven.
