Skill Sets: The butter churn

Hello Happy Homebuddies!

Thread Crochet doily & chicken I made for Easter this year, not my design.

One more day of winter here in my neck of the woods. Although mother nature is already showing off with some beauties from below the soil. Dare I even say that my bleeding hearts are coming back, I thought they died off in the heat, :) Nature is so resilient.

Sourdough Starter update 2nd batch. Smells good, not quite there yet, we'll see.

I've got the butter churn. Picked one up in Amish yesterday. We had a lovely day, it was cold, and very pleasant, no tourists. I also picked up a canning kit with the funnel, grippers etc.

I've got to read up on it, I did purchase some cream down there. I have not removed it from the box yet. It was the last one on the shelf.

We were out most of the day yesterday, so today is catch up. I've got to pack away the St. Patricks decor, run a load of laundry, and the Easter decor comes out.

Busy, but productive day.

If you've made butter I'd love to hear, if you haven't but have an interest, I'd like to know that also.

I love always getting into something.

Be of Good Cheer!

I love your churn. It will be great fun to use that.
The chicken and doily are beautiful. Such fine thread.

God bless.

I have only make butter in a jar by shaking it. We do not have the dairy goats any longer, so I never bought a butter churn. I do like the one you bought. We've taken a few trips to Amish as well, and in another state (where I bought a stainless steel sauce maker). Your crochet piece is very pretty. We have been visiting stores we have never been to.

My Mom made our butter in just such a churn way back when. On lovely fresh bread it was wonderful!!
I like that lovely doily and the crocheted hen is cute.
