Hello Everyone!
Today is the candle day! I purchase the beeswax from a local apiary, it comes in blocks. My husband breaks it down for me so it will fit in my melting pot.
Rosettes are being made today for future tapers. Yes I melt the wax twice. One from the brick to the rosettes and from the rosettes to the candles ( on a different day).
They do smell lovely and are a very pale yellow in color, butter colored when they are melted and darken slightly when cooled, each batch is different.
I am awaiting the fragrance oil which should arrive today, and I intend to make soy candles in 4oz jars which we use at the holidays & really anytime. I don't burn candles typically in the summer. When it is dreary, cold & dark, or early fall.
This is one of my favorite pictures. Probably one the first batches I ever did. These are a darker almost pumpkin color.
I'll be getting a picture of the new batch when I'm all done. I am cooling the 2nd batch of rosettes now, and when they come out of the mold, I'll begin again.

Happy Friday!! I'm thinking of you melting the fragrant bees wax. Mmmmm♥♥♥ GM
Very well done. I always wondered about how you turned your rosettes into candles. Thanks for the explanation.
God bless.
How pretty the rosette candles look in the jar! Cant wait to see the ones you make this time! Wish we could all smell them!
