Are you a seed saver?

Hello Neighbors & Parusers!
It's 6:15 am, I've already been out and watered the garden, no rain in the foercast for today. My nifty rain barrel has supplied water very well so far, with all the rain we've had in recent days.
I am well pleased with it.

Aside from the Sunflowers which were not able to bloom, all else seems to be ok. The Borage I planted is going to bloom soon, I'm anxious to see the blue flowers. The squash is loaded with big beautiful yellow flowers, hopefully there will be some pollination going on, and maybe fingers crossed I'll get a pumkin.

I'd be tickled pink to grow my own pumpkin.

I am a seed saver. It is one of those no brainers isn' it? Free Seeds. Feeding that pantry piggy bank includes seeds too. I have quite a bit of Marigolds regular and those lovely jumbo ones. So easy to gather and so necessary in the garden, plus they are lovely and I like their smell.

The big boy, I didn't plant any this year. The deer won't eat them so next year.
Marigold, Zinnia seeds are easy to harvest. I also save seeds from my tomatoes and peppers, corn, and beans, butternut squash, winter white (mashed potatoe) squash, and maybe this year pumpkin.

Peppermint Stick Zinnia, I've been calling them Candy Cane, I found a picture of the seed pack from when I posted about these here on the blog last year.

Enjoying my week getting things done which were on the list. Crocheting and frogging that filet crochet piece, I'm bound and determined to get that figured out. Melting beeswax today into Rosettes for future candles, and the fragrance oil I ordered for the soy candles is arriving today.

Thanks for stopping in
~ Faith~

I use empty little pill containers ( or old film containers but they're harder to find) to keep small seeds in. Bigger seeds, like beans, get a jar. I like to go to my garden shed and look at my seeds ( ones left from last year obviously).

Our garden is producing as well. I don't save a great many seeds usually pumpkin only. This year though I think I just may try and save a few others.

God bless.
