A little summertime at the end of February

A simple joy, as it was intended when we purchased the concord grapes from the farmers market in Oct of 2022. We prepared them for the pie filling and all I had to do was pour it in the crust and make the streusal topping.

All the prep work done when the grapes were fresh.

In my last posting I mentioned the Crow Canyon blue speckled pie pan, and the white enamel bowl with the red trim.

I always get a certain sense of joy when I try something I've never done, or accomplished a task which I've never attempted. I suppose we all do. It's just those darn simple things which are so abundant which brings us so much happiness. Now....I'm going to tackle that skirt and sewing machine.

I have never heard of a Concord Grape Pie, but it looks wonderful in the speckled pie pan.

God bless.

Okay, the last 3 blog posts I've clicked on have yummy looking food. Must be a sign I should eat something (haha). I just love enamelware.

As of this year, I hadn't heard of it either. They were selling it at a local bakery last September, my husband picked one up nd we were hooked.

My Mom had an enamel basin with red trim. She used it for everything from washing dishes to washing the eggs that she sold from her small flock of laying hens. I wonder whatever happened to that basin. GM

I was positive I left a comment but now it doesn't seem to have published. GM
