Raindrops does a garden good & a stitching update

It is cloudy and has rained and will continue to do so on/off today. No worries. We could use it. We had 2 very hot late August dog days of heat, too much and too soon, which is good for the little tomatoes we put in the garden last week.
I swapped out the bee balm for the Lemon Verbena.I went to the garden store and picked up another one just for the garden, and have one for inside.I think I am getting scapes on my garlic now, I'll have to keep an eye on that. Things happen overnight in the wee garden. Nature is so amazing.
Having my cuppa and planning my day. Other than driving my oldest son to work. That is all the running around I intend to do. I'm not enjoying shopping anywhere anymore. I'll be shopping mom and pops as much as possible and avoiding all else.

I've not moved the crochet hook in a while, but have been working on the stitching linen.

 It's coming along.
I made a mistake in the apron part see it?
She has a dish towel on her lap, it's not her apron.
Should I take it out? And Redo?
The back is a proper mess. So I'll need to maybe find some pretty fabric.
I'm satisfied with it so far, and am not trying to be to critical as this is a first attempt to embroider anything at all. The jury is still out on whether or not I will have another project.
Depends on what I run accros.

I think it's looking wonderful! Your apples look great. My satin stitches never look that satiny:-)

I don't see any mistakes either. The entire picture looks great.
Good that you got some much-needed rain. Our soil is so sandy that even after a week of showers if we get 2 hot days in a row everything is dry again.

I would not take out any stitches. From here it looks perfect and absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to crochet again.

Well that's good, maybe I'm looking at it wrong. Nothing to redo then :)

The potted plants dry so quickly, and with the heat we've had even after all that rain, it dried up pretty quickly. But nothing like a good drop or two of water from the heavens.

It looks great! So glad to hear you are trying something new too. I love to embroider and haven't done any in a while. I do need to get some kitchen towels done for gifting soon.

Thanks Kristina. I want to try my hand at making a mini quilt..really stretching as I am sew challenged, I love my crochet, and want to add more creative outlets.

I think it looks beautiful. If you like it, keep it as is. If it bothers you... I wouldn't want to be the one unraveling!

I'm loving getting to see my garden in daylight every day now, butterflies when they visit, bird every single day... I hope I am able to continue working from home for a very long time.

Can't wait to see your pink lavender!
