The day started out raining, as I watched the birds at the feeder, the rain changed ever so subtle to frozen fine droplets, and then to snow in about 15 seconds. It is the kind of snow I like, if I had to pick snow of course. Big Poofy flakes, falling silently to the ground.
The kind you can catch on your tongue like when you were a kid. Remember that?
It's like a blowing bubbles moment..kinda like that.
I've always been partial to walking outside when the snow if falling like this, to me there is something so magical about it, almost snowglobe like.
I took Spanky out our pooch, and for a few minutes we were part of the snowglobe. Nothing but us and the falling snowflakes.
We have a maple tree in the front yard, laden with red buds,as I looked up in the tree at the beauty of the buds, in the backdrop of the snow. I just stood there, and watched and listened .
It was a simple, quiet moment.
The snow has stopped, and now the sun is out.
I can honestly say that in the last few weeks, nothing has charmed me as much as that did. I've always liked moments like this, and I suppose that I've taken them for granted.
Something about this one was different, very different indeed.

That sounds like a dream! It actually brought tears to my eyes - what a beautiful moment. How peaceful and lovely.
We had those lovely big, fluffy flakes of snow at the beginning of the week. Like you that is my favourite type of snow.
God bless.
What a beautiful description. We didn't have the excitement of snowfall this winter, the snow that did arrive here had fallen overnight. X

With that beautiful description of winter's white, you just explained exactly why snowflakes are so magical to me. I spent two early mornings out shooting snowflakes on the porch last week. We had some gorgeous big flakes! Yes, it did a job on the plants trying to come out, but there's plenty of time for everything to start up again!
