Get a hobby, it's good therapy.

This was a posting from a year ago today. It was appropriate then as now.
Enjoy your Spring or your Fall as the case may be, they are both beautiful seasons, full of beauty and potential joy and bountiful beauty and harvest.

I know I'm singing to the choir, most of you have hobbies, all kinds going on.
I am thankful I have a hobby, something to do which has no electronic connection to the rest of the world, and the constant drumbeat.
I believe hobbies can be helpful, calming and productive. Especially in times such as these.
Good always comes out of not so good things. I am hopeful.

Spring is coming, people are planting seeds, and preparing their gardens for a bountiful harvest
I've got a few pepper plants started, and the garlic in the garden is coming up about 2" now. I see the daffodil & hyacynth bulbs are coming up also.

Spring is a time for renewal, life, and new beginnings.

Peace to you
Work your creative side,
spread joy
and find simple pleasure in the simple, lovely things which with man has absolutely no hand in, or can take credit for. They are free a gift to us, simple beauty & serenity.

What a lovely lovely post. I read some time back that there was a hospital where they were teaching their patients who had long recovery times to knit. Found the rate of improvement increased. (And yes both men and women :-))

Very good advice!!!!!!!

Yes, people are planting seeds!!!!

This will be over eventually. We need to keep sane, in the meantime.

And please keep bloggggging! We all need that connection! -smile-

I know it isn't easy to blog now. Not wanting to add to panic of the news. Not wanting to seem, unconcerned. But we are all going through the same thing.
And we all understand.

Gentle hugs...

I agree about the hobbies. I have so many I can't keep up with them all. ;)

Sometimes I think I don't have any "hobbies" but then when I reconsider, I keep busy with a dozen different things. Maybe baking, taking care of my ( over 30) houseplants as well as the yard. Maybe those are a kind of hobby. Not like knitting or crochet or sewing ( which I'd love to be able to do) but I keep wonderfully busy.

Love my many and varied hobbies. If I get bored with one I can move on and get involved in a different one.

God bless.

I am in the right blog now, correct? I don't blame you for going back to the tried-and-true. That Hortense was naughty to come up with the new blog idea and then skip away leaving you high and dry! I love my little hobbies. They give me a lot of peace and contentment.
