Garden Opportunity today

Out in the yard this day, it's a lovely, breezy and changing day. Everything had a good dose of rain, I took the opportunity to move some Tiger Lillies, plant some Calendula seeds in my herb garden, and plant a Blue Hosta. Have you ever?

I found this at my local grocery store, they are more turquoise or aqua then a true blue from the package. Pretty. Things are coming up, but I don't think my little blue bells will make again this year, maybe they are on lag time. None the less, the Alium are up, and the Hyacynths bloomed, some of them. And there are Daffy's beautiful lovely Daffy's bright as the sun.

I am going to try to make newspaper seedling pots. The  jiffy pot which I got at the $ store and the seedling soil produced nothing. I know it is a little extra work, but I've never done it before, and thought it would be fun. Maybe we'll try some tomatoes this year, hope springs eternal.

Beautiful blossom ~ I've planted regular hosta but not blue. Bet that's striking.

Blue hosta!!!!!! Never heard of such! Can't wait to see your photos of it growning.

Wow you really have things coming up! Actually we don't have spring flowers planted. Years ago, he planted tulips, and 'critters' ate them. -Pout-

So he plants plants.

Good luck with the newspaper pots. Did you ever use egg cartons.... Cardboard ones, you can plant eventually, and it just goes into the soil.

Please stay calm,
and carry on.

It's a fabulous colour. It's a good feeling being able to plant seeds and watch them grow. X

Never a blue hosta, but a blue garden nonetheless! My hyacinths were covered by about four inches of snow again last night, second time this week. My one (not blue) daffodil that had bloomed (several still in the works) was squished to the ground by just one inch. Don't know if it will pop back up. The lupine, delphiniums, grape hyacinth and spiderwort were all leafing out; they may survive this freeze (currently 16 degrees) because of the blanket of snow.
