Road Trip

We went for a long overdue road trip on Saturday, it was a beautiful day, sunny, clear blue sky, beautiful blue sky. We drove about and hour, and went to a place called Grandpa's Cheesebarn, it is out in the country. You buy things mixes for dips, pretzels, jams and jellies, and of course cheese, and across the way they have a Sweetie shop filled with chocolate and sweets. It's nice to be out in the country, just down the way from there we visited a lovely place called the Parsley Pot,

a 163 year old barn/gift shop.What a treasure trove that was. The couple which ran it, celebrated 43 years of shop being open. I like the old barns, and this one fit the bill, the sturdy beams, the loft, and the squeaky wide planked flooring. It made me wonder who had owned the beautiful barn, how many families. Living history.

I did purchase a few things at each place. I bought this lovely wicker basket to hold my yarn, from an Amish boy who had his wares for sale at Grandpa's.

and I found "Tinker", at the gift shop. Once I picked him up I couldn't put him down..

a pretty kitchen towel with a barn and roosters on it, and a small print ( for Fall) which had a scarecrow&haystack.

We had a nice day, a nice family outing even the boys went.
