Hello Out there in blogland!
I know some of my followers, and those who I follow are having Springtime now. They are showing pictures of tulips and sunshine, talking of garden plans and sunshine. I know that is a season which is welcome no matter where you are and especially dependent on the winter you've had.
It's always nice to take a break, change things up..gives us perspective and hope.
Where I am, we are changing from Summer to Autumn. The trees over the last week have begun to pick up speed, and are changing quickly. Beautiful hues of fall. It's been windy to, and so mother natures vacum cleaner is helping the fallen leaves on their way, to wherever they go...the music of the leaf dance. I love it. Where? do the leaves go?
On the hook now, or will be soon, yarn. I'm trying to make a cowl for my husband to keep the draft off his neck. I'm hoping it will be a Christmas Present. But....depending on the weather situation we have here, he may get it for his birthday in Novemeber....
We'll see how the hook fly's.
I chose a DK Colors for this
I've never used cake yarn before, I'm out of the box on this one. He likes blue, this is mixed with gray, white, and blue. "Should be" self striping.....time will tell.
I'm going for a cowl using a fpdc ( front post double crochet stitch).( A little crochet lingo)
I used that stitch on the poncho I made for me several years ago.
you can't see it very well, it's a nice ribbed collar. I'd like to make it so that it extends down his chest and back a wee bit. We'll see.
The thread mandala is done, I've got it hooked temporarily on the hoop with stitch markers. I really could use a larger hoop, or I can take the last row out and re crochet to the hoop. I'm having trouble finding where I had woven the thread in. So for now....and all intents and purposes it is done.
It is pretty though 😀

First, I love these falling leaves on your page! I wonder where the little guy in the truck is taking them; they'd make great compost! I wish I knew different stitches like you do. I used to try more difficult stitches but have settled into simple ones now. So nice that your husband wanted you to make something for him. The farmer likes to use an afghan now and then after being out in the cold.
That cowl for your husband, is a wonderful idea!!!!
Yes, give it to him sooner, if the weather calls for it. Wrap it in Christmas paper!!!!
How did you get those falling leaves? And now I see, that a little truck, scoops them up, tooooo.
I love the snow sparkles, which some bloggers used to have falling on their blogs, when Christmas season came around.
Don't see them as much.
But I also remember reading that those things, can "do" something, to the computer, when they are installed. -sigh-
🍂🍁🎃🍁🍂
That cowl will be both lovely and so practical too~!
I wanted to say how much I love the way your blog looks. I am so limited in what I can do on my computer so my blog doesn't change much. I love the way the Autumn leaves drop ever so gently down and the cute background that you use.
Thank you all for stopping and leaving a comment. This goes in as an HTML in your gadgets. I looked for animated falling leaves and copy the code. I used to have pretty snowflakes years ago, so calming, and the little guy with the truck...what a hoot. See, I was wondering where all the leaves went, now we know.
I love the falling leaves too, but like Granny Marigold said, I am very limited in what I can do on the computer. That's why my blog look never changes. :) Oh, I would love to be able to crochet like you do. The poncho is so pretty, and a cowl for your husband will be perfect.
