Quiet Saturday

We havn't had a Saturday like this in a long time. Usually we head on out to the Farmer Market, get out of Dodge into the beautiful countryside. I got up, had a cup of coffee, and went and laid down to read a book I picked up at the Library yesterday. I woke up several hours later with my glasses on, just the way I laid down. Out cold. I feel better, havn't been sleeping very well last few nights.

Tonight the my Scout guys are going to the Carnival, volunteering at the Parish which houses our Scout Troop, paying it forward. The Troop does it every year. They will stay and watch fireworks, I stay home. 😉 NO COOKING TODAY 😃

We went up last night, I stayed for a while until the hips start acting up, and I came home with older son. At 10:00 we were standing outside in the front yard waiting for the International Space Station to fly over. We saw it twice this week. A marvel, So cool, and l love the starlight of the clear sky. Even here in Citified Dodge there is some stars visible.

I've got the itch to get out the Fall decorations, I've got to fight that for awhile. That is my favorite time of year, and I love everything fall. To early. Maybe the end of the month .

So, for today..on tap is beeswax melting. I am going to melt down the 1# brick and put it into more usable forms, smaller increments like I did before with the little rosettes, to be made into candles another day.

and....the endless clothes basket brimming to the top....oh bother !

  1. Good for the staying home, and reading. You needed that sleep!

Hope your weather is fine, for the Carnival things to night!

Oh have seen space station once, a few years ago. Must look it up, when to watch for it, here. Thank you for reminding me.

I love Autumn too. But I'm not in a hurry this year... It brings Flu Season, after it. October it begins, and I am deadly afraid of the flu.

Silly way to be, I know. I too, will get into the Autumn Spirit, in a while!

    Gentle hugs..

  2. I know how you feel about decorating for Fall. Since I've put out those two Fallish bouquets I'm anxious to put out more!!! I love Fall.

Thanks for mentioning the ISS. I hadn't thought about going out to see it but now having checked I find that it's going to be going over my area tonight at 9:31.

  3. That ISS is so interesting. It will be over our place at 9:26 pm. Last night we had about 3 minutes of viewing and poof it was gone. Fascinating. I did a little reading up about it, and it has NO lights, it's all the sunlight reflecting off the craft. 17,000 some mph. Thank you stopping over.
