Minding my own beeswax, and making a few candles

Hi Neighbor!

Up early this morning, the early morning shadows are in full swing, professor hassenfeffer, is out in the front yard having breakfast in the shadows. It thundered and drop some rain, much needed for the animals and plants. I suspect the birds will be bathing in the puddles soon. I've not been out yet to put out the flag. Made the coffee and here I sit. The birds have been very quiet lately, not as much singing as usual. I heard the cicadias the other  day, I've always liked that sound.
"Thinking about pancakes"....just thinking.,  My campers are home, and we are back into our routines. They put everything away when they got home. NEVER has that happened before. I'm pretty happy about that. They had a good time, and youngest/tallest is looking forward to the next campout. Only supposed to be 82 today, it was 95 yesterday. Tomorrow in the 70's glorius.

I have yet to steam the shawl. I'll get r done this week.

I got 8 beeswax votive candles out of the 1# of beeswax. I have to trim the wicks. I enjoyed making them, and would like to make some more, possible to sell. I don't even know if there is a market for them. People like candles, and buy what's in the stores. But the beeswax have special properties and attributes which by far out weigh anything bought in the stores. I look forward to lighting up a candle when the weather cools. They smell so good.

  1. Seeing your post about candles, reminds me I have yet to make campfire fire starters and we will be camping soon. Ugh. I need to get that stuff out and make them. It uses beeswax. Have a fun week!

  4. I am sure there would be a market for them, there is always a candle stall at most craft fairs.

  5. How lovely to be able to make bees wax candles!

I do not just buy what's in stores anymore, after reading about those candles. :-(((

I have gotten 1 bees wax candle. And a couple of safe soy (I think they are) candles. These last, with a soft fragrance to them. I love a soft fragrance, but all of those candles are expensive.

But they last "forever" too. :-)
