Greetings & Salutations 😉
A few things were done today, multi tasking this day.
I think I mentioned that Tues/Thursday's are going to be Salad for Supper Days. So that is what we are having for today. I took a few slices of bacon, and brushed/doused them with maple syrup, (ok so it's not all healthy) and baked it for a few minutes till crispy. I had the oven on anyway, I had started some overnight sourdough about 12:00 am the night before, it was time for it to get popped in the oven. Did I ever share that recipe? So we will have some crunchy/sourdough/good for your gut bread, salad and lovely maple bacon. Do I get an E for effort? It's somewhat healthy. Right?
Everything in moderation.
Youngest/tallest put the camping tents on the line to dry out so they don't get moldy. The never ending clothes basket and dishes. I still have the salad to make, pick up oldest at work, and then hubster comes home home about 6. I have about 2.5 hours.
And..I managed to move the hook a little bit. Remember the stacking pumpkin I posted about? Working on it now. I "think" I'll have enough pumpkin orange to complete all three of them. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I've got other colors too, which are "fallish" in nature.
Worked a little bit on the excel for the candles. Trying to set up good record keeping, and documentation. Then I'll tackle the price thing.
It's coming together nicely.
Maple syrup is a natural product, unlike cane sugar, which has to be processed, to get to the table. So maple syrup is healthy!!! -smile-
ReplyDeleteAhh yes, have to keep ahead of mold formation!
Love that pumpkin orange color!!!!!!
Salad for Supper days sound perfect, for summer!!!!
Re: my post about loving Old Fashioned Blogging. Thank you for loving it too!!!!!!
And I was worried about it dying out. But I got a lot of comments, overnight, on that post! I don't get many comments. So this fact, makes me happier, that others agree, and that others will not let blogging die out.
We need to get/keep in touch, with each other. So none of us, lose hope. And I really feel as if I am doing that, with that post of mine. -smile- And the people, who came to comment.
Gentle hugs,
✨✨✨
Home made sourdough bread along with a lovely salad definitely rates an E for effort!!
ReplyDeleteThe doily is such a Fallish colour and appears to be almost done. Once you start it seems you get things done quickly!
I think I may make those beeswax candles for Christmas gifts this year. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteThe bread and salad definitely rates an E for effort and I love the sound of the maple syrup on the bacon. Glad you are making progress with your new endeavour, hope it goes well.
