Chit Chat over the clothesline

 Hello beautiful happy Homebuddies

I purchased this picture at Hobby Lobby last year, isn't it delightful?

It was Groundhog Day February 2, what did he predict?

We are in grayscale this morning, gray sky and white landscape. The good news is we are in double digit temps. Our resident groundhog here in Ohio is Buckeye Chuck, he saw his shadow and so we are to have an early spring. Puxatony Phil in Pennsylvania begs to differ.

I’m working on some crochet hearts for the senior home, I've got a small amount of pink thread which will work nicely, finish up the skein, last year it was crochet hearts with yarn.   I need to make more beeswax candles as I am lighting them in the early morning before sunrise, my stash is getting low. I light them in the early morning until the sun rises.

I look forward to having some things outside on the line to freshen them not yet safe with ice/snow.

mm, let see. Oh, I ordered The Mennonite girls can cook cookbook. I’ve followed them many years ago when I started my blog in 2008. Do any of you already have the cookbook? If you are not familiar with them, look on the sidebar, I'm following them and you can see what they are all about.

I like to sometimes go back in the mist of time and see what I was going on about 1 year ago.

2025 Groundhog Day Post

That is my story & I'm sticking to it.

Be of good cheer!

Living here in Saskatchewan we always have more winter no matter what the various Groundhogs predict.
I don't have that cookbook, but have off and on followed their blog at one time or another.

God bless.

I like your picture; if I had it I'd hang it in my laundry room.
Mennonite Girls have such reliable recipes. I believe at least one of them lives here in the Fraser Valley.

I didn't realize Hobby Lobby sold so many pretty pictures until I went in one with my Daughter. I was overwhelmed. I wanted so many of them! :) I like yours too!

Your crochet hearts reminded me of the last time I made some. My Mom was in hospice care, and I made some for the board in her room to give her something beautiful to look at. Boy I sure do miss her. I have not crocheted hearts since then. I have followed the same blog, but have never bought their cookbook. Honestly, I did not know they had a cookbook. When I posted Christmas countdown for last year, I posted about one of their recipes that we really liked. I'll have to borrow the book from our library first, but thanks for the heads up on the cookbook.

I move it about the house, as a laundry room is in the basement, downstairs..

oh yes they do have lovely pictures, not always the same ones. I was happy to have found the little church one. I love those old simple little chapels.

I thought I might do that to before I buy. However my library and we 5 within 2 miles, really don't carry books anymore, the shelves are getting leaner and leaner, and you have to wait IF they have it all. I hope you can find one. It was 12.36 at Amazon.
