Chit Chat over the Clothesline

Hello Happy Homebuddies!

I hope you are all doing well.

I've got some things around the house to accomplish today, my to-do list is written down in my calendar, but first a nice cuppa, and chat over the clothesline with you all.

We all have "things" which we take a personal fancy in, some are new and some have been lifelong sparked from childhood, or it's always just been there. They sometimes become special collections.

Here are a few of mine right off the cuff as I write this in no particular order.

Beach glass, Seashells, Miniatures, sparkly crystal vintage chandelier pieces, pretty stones, Angels, chimes.

Most recently over the last few years for me it's been saltshakers, especially miniature ones.

My first ones were Turkeys which belonged to my husband's grandmother. Not miniature but I take the simple joy of putting them out each year at Thanksgiving.

My son bought a miniature seashell one for my birthday one year, from Cracker Barrell.

I've added a few from there over the years from there. We don't go there often but when we do, I usually find a set for seasonal use decor.

The highland cow, and the lady holding pie are not salt shakers. I just like the highland cows, and the lady is a vintage pie vent. I have 2 leprachauns which are not miniature which are not shown.

What do you like to collect?

Take good care until we talk again.

Faith

I enlarged the picture so I could admire your little salt shakers. I had an aunt that had well over 50 sets when she died. I wonder who got those ( she had no children).
I have collected so many different things like my wonderful teddy bears, my tea cups, butterflies, dead ones of course but ones that were alive ( as opposed to ornaments), rosaries, books ( do books count?)......

A lovely list, I imagine that was some collection of sat shakers. Your comment reminded me I like old books too. I don’t have a lot of anyone thing, a little of this n that.

I love the chat over the clothesline........not much of that anymore these days. How sweet your miniature salt/pepper shakers are! I have a large collection of porcelain swan figurines.....from the 40s thru the 60s. Some are elaborately layered with flowers. Wishing you the best days of the new year

ooh I imagine those swans are lovely. I'm trying to think if I've seen a real one. I love how they carry their babies while in the water.
