The sun is out in all it's glory! For the moment the winter grayscale is sparkling and glistening. But like Frosty the snowman it will soon be all gone, only to be back again someday. 35 degrees today.
I've been up since 6:00 am, made coffee, pondered my day and what's in. A basket of freshly washed clothes awaiting me, I folded them by candlelight. When I get up early, it's still dark and
I have a beeswax taper which I made a while back and I light it every morning. A gentle but bright light in the darkness.
It is a simply joy.
I hear the little sparrows on the bird feeder, they are singing and having some breakfast, enjoying the warmth of the sun. It is only 14 degrees currently.
I've gathered my supplies for bread making, laying everything out so I don't forget anything. In a little bit when everybody is up, I'll mill/grind the berries. It will smell lovely in here in a few hours.
Hoping your day is blessed & full of simple joys!

Yesterday I folded laundry by candlelight too. We had a power outage and I was determined to get my work done.
Baking will happen here later in the week.
Enjoy the lovely smell of baking bread. I hope to get some loaves done tomorrow, as well as some cookies.
God bless.
