A Gingerbread Cottage..not what you think

It's been rather "Christmasy" here weather wise, very festive, keeping me inside and so I've been moving the hook quite a bit. As I am visiting with you a snow warning has been issued. The other evening it looked like a snow globe.

I fashioned this up, out of #10 crochet thread. I found the leaflet for it on etsy, it is an entire little village of adorable crochet buildings. I plan on making the church & the mill. I have to put the front porch railings on this one, using q tips. The pattern is from 1980.

I've got the cookie dough frozen for when I decide to bake them, and added one more. I've got one of the embossed rolling pins, and am going to try my luck at it again this year, making shortbread cookies.

Any of you have any tips for rolling with an embossed pin?

Have a beautiful weekend!

I have never worked with an embossed rolling pin. I hope that works out for you. I love the "gingerbread" house!!

How sweet the crochet building looks. Cant wait to see all of the building you plan to crochet! On the embossed rolling pin, I try to dust a little flour onto the pin to avoid the dough sticking. Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
