Crochet Scarecrows off the hook

I confess

I have a fancy for scarecrows.  

 There is just something about them which just tickles my fancy. There isn't of course anything scary about them. I love how they are so simply joyful,  yet so just who they are all mismatched, patched and stuffed together. Not put together or made up. They are comfortable  They are happy.....

( could be a life lesson there, less is more) 

I had found a pattern to crochet a couple, they are amigurumi which I am not necessarily a fan of, and won't find myself doing as general rule. These two just captured my heart. I will share the pattern which a purchase pattern on Etsy at the end of the posting if  you are interesting in make the pair for yourself.

I followed the pattern to assemble the body, the end product doesn't look like the patterns finished project. As I normally do I make it my own. There isn't another one like it in the world. It is unique.

They don't stand well on their own, most likely that the stuffing could be a little more filled. So I have found and ordered a cute little bentwood bench on Etsy which I think will do the trick. They can have a nice sit down.
