It's still so nice to light up the Christmas tree in these dark gray winter days All the ornaments are put away for next time, but the lights remain. It provides cheer & color
. We've had a light dusting of snow overnight, not seen many birds at the feeder, I wonder if it is frozen and they can't get the seed out?
My husband brought the feeder in to thaw, I'll clean it out and put fresh seeds. It is the mason jar kind of feeder, and so sometimes it gets frozen at the bottom.
Looks similar to this one.
Apple pie is on the menu for this weekend, using the last of the apples from summers harvest.
I don't have to go out today and that is okay with me. Tomorrow may go get yarn for the project I talked about last time.
Have a joy filled weekend.

We have been putting out Sunflower heads to feed the birds lately. The snow piles up on the feeder and they can't get the food out. I hope Harvey plants more sunflowers this coming planting season as the birds really seem to love them.
I love your doily picture. The colours are fantastic.
God bless.
Thank you Jackie, our feeder too fills up with snow, and then they can't get the seeds out it gets moldy and needs to be clean. Generally they eat it all in a day or two, but not when the Hawks are around.
Ha! I was able to comment on third try today. Some days I get so irritated with the problems with Blogger. If that is who is to blame for the difficulties.
Anyway... when there are no birds in sight in the back yard I look for Miss Kitty. She can't reach the feeder but sits nearby and scares the birds away.
Just this morning I was thinking I should make an apple pie. I have frozen pie crust in the freezer so it will have to thaw. Pie for tomorrow then.
Happy new week!!
