Weather uncomfortable humidity good for the garden.

Well, I've just come in from outside, it's early AM, topping off the garden plants & sundry pots of flowers. I watered them but good  last evening, it's going to be really hot, in the 90's. The potted things show most of the distress.  All our tomatotes have flowers, and today...I awoke to find a butternut squash bloom....." Joyful"

We spent the day quietly at home, had a cookout, I crocheted a little bit, and in the cool of the evening we planted a butterfly bush my eldest son got me for my birthday. On Friday, I drove out to my favorite farm stand, and picked up some willow to make wreathes.

I've told about this little gem before 4th generation farm. There is an honest box to pay for purchases. It is a delightful little place, full of honey, eggs, Hungarian Paprika ( Hungarian Farm), fleece, and little freebies like seeds, and goose feathers.  Next time, I'll get a front picture. I bought some beautiful eggs, all manner of lovely muted colors. This is where I bought the fat to make the lard. posting for that is Making Lard, and also where I got the willow. I want to make wreaths. Anybody have a clue how long to soak the willow?

                                                               Have a beautiful day!

No idea how long one must soak them. I have a friend who made willow chairs so I will ask her...

God bless.

If your son bought you a Butterfly bush for your birthday then it's obvious I missed wishing you a Happy Birthday!! We have 2 Butterfly bushes, one lilac coloured and the other a pretty pink. There was a darker purple one but it didn't survive.
I have no idea how long to soak willow and look forward to seeing how you make your wreaths.
Stay cool.

That farm stand sounds charming! Get you some of those goose feathers for cleaning keyboards! I do not know anything about soaking the willow, unfortunately. But I am looking forward to a post from you about how you did it!

It's very hot here too, and we too soaked the garden. I have to water potted flowers this morning. I have no idea about the willow.
