Are there dog days of winter?

If so we are in them now.

Good Morning, its 7:00 am here, still dark, looks like we made it through the night without any more snow, but the wind is howling. A baking day and oven weekend.

I'm thinking German Chocolate Cake, Stuffed Cabbage . Waiting for the coffee to perk, looking forward to a nice cuppa.

The new computer arrived and what a joy it is to use both hands to type with again and not have to hold the lid, simple joys. It was like playing the game of Twister, remember that?  We had to find the right position to put the computer, angle it, hold the lid, raise lower....oh my Twister I did play that when I was young, and now I'm hard pressed to pick something off the floor, and the only twisting I do now is getting in/out of the car.

Crochet work is coming along, making good progress on the 2nd Wind Rose Doily. I had a skein of Royal Blue which was pretty full, using up stash. I have another ring, I may give this one to my eldest son who is threatening to move out one day.

The other project I mentioned the round afghan..

I'm still waiting on the yarn, and working off the stash ball I had, it's been redone a few times, as I am getting the hang of the pattern and stitches. The pattern information can be found

My coffee is done perking, it's light out with a just a hit of sun, and I've got a laundry basket full of clothes to greet me already that somebody brought up from the basement...I am grateful.

Enjoy your weekend !
