I'm still out here somewhere in time

Which reminds me, did any of you see that movie Somewhere in Time? Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour. One of my favorites of all times. Anyway...how are all of you?  I am fine here, and thank you for asking Lady Locust. It reminded me that I had not posted in quite a while. Not that I'm doing anything all that important or out of the ordinary. Just life happening.
My carpal tunnel has healed up thankfully, but I am gently reminded to ease up a bit with the hook. I do have a new shawl on the hook. I did miss my crochet for sure. The cleaning up at the MIL house has slowed down a bit. Rome was not built in one day, and it won't be straightened up in one either. A Lifetime of stuff....nooks and crannies...the trove...needed a break.
I was told by somone on Instagram this was a Hallmark Ornament...Adorable. Found in the Trove.

A trip to Goodwill Thrift Shop. I wanted to see if I could find a small crockpot which I can use for melting the beeswax for candles, and surprisingly I did find one, in Cranberry my color, looks brand new. I'll be putting that to good use very soon.
And...I found this lovely candlestick holder too..

The candles I ordered from Kate over at the Homely House summer collection. Paired with the shawl I am working on slowly. We had a delightful day of rain, clouds and thunderstorms, much needed rain from heaven for flora and critters.
Stay well....

Oh so good you can hold that hook again 🌼 And rain would certainly be welcomed over here also! Glad to hear you’re well.

That's a great idea to look at Goodwill for a crock pot for the candles. I still want to do that, but sheesh, my tomatoes are doing great right now. Love that ornament. Adorable. Glad to see you are doing well.

I just went to the local library site and requested the movie Somewhere in Time. I saw they also had the book available
( large print even). I'll see if I want to read it after seeing the movie.
It's good to know your wrist is feeling better. I like the colour of the shawl you're working on. It's a lovely neutral colour.
I shouldn't admit it but I melt wax in clean tin cans right on the stove. Haven't done any lately but I used to do more.
Take care.

I loved that little bear ornament when I saw it on instagram Faith. So sweet & delightful. The photo of your new shawl alongside Kates candles looks really lovely - some good treasures found at the thrift store.

Sounds like a movie I would like. The candle holder is very pretty. A good find. How lucky you found the crockpot and in the perfect color. I love to find just what I go looking for.
