Isn't this just the sweetest? The perfect closthesline.

What are you up today?

I do thank all of you who chimed in about the meringue.
I appreciate all the comments. maybe next time I will bake the meringue.
Rather than under the broiler, oh I've set more than one pie on fire.

Today about my little homestead, I started the day in my wee garden, cutting back some of the herbs for drying, they were getting leggy. I've never did this before and so we shall see.
I have some Lemon Verbena, Mojito Mint, and scented geranium Lemon Rose. The calendula ( well I hope it is calendula) is getting very leafy, looking forward to some blooms. Garlic is
still in the ground beginning to yellow, getting close to harvesting, and the hot peppers are producing, the wee tomatoes grown from seed have took off, still short by some standards, but they look healthy.
The chives never came up, I read on the internet ( so it has to be true 😏) that it takes 2-3 weeks for them to germinate. What say all of you?

Some days I have it, and some I don't I'm on today. So taking advantage of it. Decluttering the cupboards, and tidying it up a bit. I like all the items I use frequently up front and close to grab. Those plastic containers what a mess...those were done as well. A load of laundry waltzing. And a wee bit of stitching on the spotty hen mini quilt.

Have a simply beautiful day!

That is definitely the sweetest clothesline ever! I used to have a banner made up of little dresses made of card stock. I put it away for winter but now that I want to put it up again I can't find it. I'll keep looking.
About Chives. I've read that they are difficult to get growing and that it's best to buy a little plant ( or get part of a friend's clump since chives, once they get going, grow so fast).

I love to dry herbs, I have some mint and lavender drying at the moment, creating such a beautiful smell.
