It is a Morticia Addams kind of day, it's about time

It is quite a loverly day here I must say. The second day of the Fall season, and it looks like fall, a bit overcast, some rain sprinkles and a gentle wind, NO SUNSHINE!😏 Oh don't get me wrong, I like a bit of sunshine too, we've just had so many hot, sunny, muggy days, and well, I'm a fall kind of gal. Once the old man rolls around with his brisk winds, snow and etc....I'll be glad to have a sunny day, by then we'll need one.

Like on the extremely frigid cold days, deep into the winter, you know the kind I mean, you are half way between winter and spring. It's frigid, there is snow everywhere, and out pops the very same sunshine I am weary of now, it brightens the landscape, the snow will be covered with diamond fairy dust, brilliant and sparkly to lift the mood. But for today, a nice respite from the heat and sun.

The picture in this post is one of of the boxes you'll find at the craft store these days. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and sayings. This was one of the cases where this was the only one, so I picked it up,no circling the store, not I'll get it later, picked it right up.  Instinct. We learn as we experience these things. How many times have I gone back and Poof! It was gone. It was the last one.

I like the colors on it, and the saying hit the spot. I've had it put away under "kitchy" cabinet, and I store things I've made in it, special linens and such. I pulled it out today, and thought it would be fun to rummage through it and see what's inside.

I'll be posting about what's in the good day box periodically. It's nice to revisit things you've made, and put out of sight for awhile. It becomes new and fresh.

Have a GOOD DAY!

Sunshine is lovely for the mood. But days and days and days and days of sun/heat/humidity sure can "take the bloom of the rose"! ,-)

We long for some clouds, to cool off the bright haze of summer. And a few sprinkle don't hurt either.

We have had a return of summer, for a few days. It can "get old." Especially when the leaves and vines are beginning to turn reds/gold. We want some crispness in our days. :-) And in our nights!

Fun box and glad you got it, when you did. It will bring you many days of joy. When you take it out and pop it open and review, what you have made.

  2. It's been one of those wonderful rainy days here that we have been needing for so long. You make me so very curious...what is in that lovely box?

  3. Any day can be a good day if we have the right frame of mind. It's just getting and keeping that right frame of mind that's a titch on the difficult side some days! ;o) I'm thinking you'll get lots of enjoyment from seeing and using your new little box.

  4. I love those dark and rainy days—as long as I get to stay inside with a good book!

Have a very blessed day and take delight even in the simple things.
