Now you see it, now you don't

We are in Full blown summertime, today the expected high 91 😎.

Remember a few posts back I told that Robin Hood flour was discontinued? This week, it's Yarn Bee Soft Secret/ Rosebud.  What is up with that? Who is deciding that there is nobody purchasing these items. Who does their market research?  I cannot remember not ever being able to find a product on the shelf. Who makes these decisions?

I had made something with the Rosebud I had, with the intention of purchasing more. I've unraveled that project and am using the yarn for scarf/shawl now. No more Rosebud 😔   It kind of reminds me of all the Polls about this or that, 45% of Americans, nobody asked me. Did they ask you? I contacted Hobby Lobby at the Corporate level, and at my local ( no so) store. I was hoping that I could contact them and inquire about where I might purchase this yarn, whether they will bring it back. No luck

Poof!  It's gone. !

So, I'm thankful I have what I have. Such a really pretty color, and I love the name too. !  I tried Ebay,Etsy no luck. It's like the yarn never existed in the color Rosebud. Surely somebody purchased it, I bought 4 skeins myself.

Oh well. At least I have something lovely with the Rosebud. 💓
I closed my Ravelry account some time ago now, but I have been hearing that folks are rather unhappy with Ravelry these days, and some folks are pulling their accounts, and looking for other places to sell their items/patterns.😲 I tried to like Ravelry...it just wasn't my cup of tea...there was a vibe there, couldn't put my finger on it. I clicked on a pattern the other day and it took me to the  Ravelry sign on page, since I don't have an account, I couldn;t view it anyway.

I see that that they have what appears to be a rainbow flag on their sign in page?

Glad I closed account before all the hub bub. Don't like being forced fed this nonsense. Especially on a craft knit/crochet community, there are other venues for that, for those who choose it. I do not.

I am PROUD to be an American
This is my flag !

Well, I need to start the day...a little crocheting, chauffering, folding, cooking, most likely in that particular order.

Till next time.
Adjusting to a world I don't understand, and didn't grow up in.

  1. You go girl!! I don't like being force-fed either. And why take the beautiful colors of the rainbow, given by God, for such stuff!

  2. Amen to that ! It's another way that God is mocked by them, and that is thrown in our faces every day. Inclusion & Diversity tired of the overuse of the words. We are all people diverse because GOD made us that way, we are all different and special in GOD's eyes, Idon't need a flag, or a month to scream it to the world. Such silliness. Thanks for stopping over my place.

  3. Don't knit so don't "do" Ravalry.

But from what you say, I'd not be happy there either. Betcha' they have gone all-P.C.-and-Liberal there. Why??? Why that, on a crafting place???

If that's what happened, I agree with you. Get out.

I have one Flag too! And I (both of us) are Proud To Be Americans too!

And being old, we even remember, when it was OK to be Proud Americans!!! Imagine that!

Today.... -sigh- It seems to be *out of style.* :-(((((
