These came in the mail today!
I just ordered it yesterday!
I am going to offer candles for sale. Got some books from the library about handmade business. Looking on line for info also. This isn't going to be something fancy smancy, I just want to share the beautiful beeswax candles. Keeping it as simple as I can.
It is something I enjoy..
They smell fabulous....
why not?
I have not figured out the how or where yet. May be from this very blog, may be on Etsy, farmers market or a combination.
Not really sure yet. Baby steps, moving forward daily, enjoying the process.
I will get 16 votive candles out of the 2 lbs of beeswax. And these will be the first to be sold whenever and wherever it will be.
I've done Etsy before with other things, I think I will rule that out. Keep it local, farmers market,( for next year) or from the blog here. I'm not going to mass produce candles. I can get the 100% pure beeswax in one day after I order it, so the turn around time to make them will be exceptionally good.
I don't want to make so many that I will have an excess if they don't sell. Although they don't spoil, and will be handy to have around. Just their aroma is uplifting. The 100% beeswax candles burn for an average of 15 hours. I have 8 of them made for the fall and winter months, for our family.
If you sell items you handcraft, how do you sell yours?
Finishing up my coffee, the endless basket is ready to be emptied again, what's for supper? maybe chili today,

Lovely that you can make bees wax candles.
ReplyDeleteI have never sold anything. From Etsy or any where. Nor on my blog. So I have no advice to give.
It's delightful to have a new project though.
✨✨✨✨
I have never tried selling items myself. I have had the thought to do so before; but have never followed through. I wish you much luck! I know those are special candles and not the kind you can buy just anywhere. You can be proud of your candles!
ReplyDeleteThe scent of beeswax is so lovely... nothing can beat it. My daughter gave me a soap that has beeswax in it or at least that's exactly what it smells like. I can't get myself to use it yet. I keep it in my nightie drawer and it makes things smell wonderful.
