With the exception of Easter, I'll choose brown eggs every single time.
There is just something about them I love. 💓
Each one is a wee bit different in depth of color, some have freckles, or beauty marks which distinguish one from the other, some are speckled with freckles. 😊
I have a bowl which was given to me by an uncle. He told me the bowl belonged to my grandmother, I knew then 40 years ago it was an old bowl. It's a pottery bowl and in my favorite color.
It is a treasure, and I keep those beautiful brown and yes white eggs in it all these years. I often wonder what grandma mixed up in that bowl?
A short story...not a happy ending...you live and learn....or should!
One time...my mother in law asked me to pick her up some eggs. So I did. They were brown ones, it caused a comotion. 😕 I was younger at the time, and apologized ( I'm not sure why) I guess I thought she would say that's ok, thank you for picking them up for me....she didn't.
First time...last time 😒
Eggs I found out come in a various amount of colors mostly pastels, how lovely is that?
I don't see to many of those where I live. I would buy them if I did. If I had a yardbird or three or four, I'd like the kind that lay brown eggs. I'd be happy to have a yardbird which laid any colored of eggs....😉
Have an eggcellent day !
Until then...those beautiful brown eggs work every time.
I like brown eggs too, mine are all laying at the moment and yes they are brown. What a beautiful bowl you were given, love the colour.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, I don't know one egg from another. :) I'd like to have some hens, but with our broiler houses we aren't allowed to have other chickens on the farm because of disease concerns.
