Herbs, and Spring Flowers bounding from the earth

Happy First Day of Spring y'all!
Virginia Bluebells, 25 seeds, Mertensia virginica, woodsy wildflower, moist shade, hardy perennial, cold hardy to zone 3, amazing blooms
Virginia Blue Bells

In my garden my wee little garden, there is green poking through the earth. I know that I have hyacinths ( my absolute favorite spring flower ), last year in the fall I planted Allium, I think they are coming up, and I ordered some Virginia Blue Bells bulbs last year and tucked them in to over winter, I hope those come up they are a stunner. Even though I know what "should" come up each year, I am enticed by the notion that that they will and do come up, such a simple joy. I've got some Lavender also planted in there, looks a little worse for ware right now, but soon ( I hope) it will perk up.

You've probably seen this lovely in the magazine section of the supermarket. I've had a subscription on/off for years, and get the email newsletters, got one in fact today. Thought I would share the link with you all on this very 1st day of spring. If you like herbs, and naturals this may be for you.

Well, that it for today, it's never to early to talk herbs, or springtime flowers, for those of us in the colder winter climates...we are ready.!

We were almost to 50 degrees yesterday...the first day of Spring. We still have snow on the ground; but we see it melting daily. We have a small chance of rain/snow mix this weekend. I will have to enjoy the pictures of other people's gardens for now.

We are on the roller coaster as well, expecting some snow mix tomorrow. Good news is it won't stick :)

I hope all your bulbs come up and bloom prettily. Lavender is one of my favorites but it will not grow here. I've tried it several different spots with no luck. We have had rain all day, but looking forward to seeing the sun tomorrow.
