Chit chat over the clothesline

Hello beautiful Homebuddies!

Here we are together, another day of creating, finding joy, and embracing our inner little girls. Thank you very much for popping over to visit.

The view from my window

We still have a groundcover of snow, the temps are winterlike, no funky 50-60 degrees. it is my hope that is setting the stage for a more normal summer, it seems when it's off in winter it is also off in summer.

On the hook:

The pattern was received for the Lacy Irish Afghan, and so the crochet has commenced. I must admit it was nice to change from that itty bitty hook & thread, to something a little easier on the eyes, but it is nice to be able to change it up a bit sometimes.

The saurkraut is in the crock, we'll be tamping that down and see what happens in a couple of weeks.

Learning something new:

I'm very much excited about the prospect of experimenting with an old fashioned, traditional way of making bread by which all accounts I have seen, produces a better tasting loaf, higher rise, &longer life of the finished product.  I'll be posting about this soon.

Have a beautiful, simple day, doing that which brings you joy.

~The joy is in the making~

Looking forward to seeing what is on your hook. I need to find a pattern to make something to cover my years while I excercise. I do not want a full knit hat...so I'm on that missions. Exciting that you received your tamper and the sauerkraut is under way. The bread sounds good, too.

Hmm, that bread sounds very interesting. I can't wait to see what you have on your crochet hook.

God bless.

I'm looking forward to learning about the old fashion way of making bread. I baked bread and buns today ( but my breadmaker mixed up the dough for me).

making bread in the breadmaker, no shame in the game GM, used one myself for many years as it kneads the dough very nicely.

The current project is in progress, very slowly. I'm having a difficult time in focusing on the pattern, and keep losing my place, started it over many times...I've set it to the naughty corner for a few days. It isn't a difficult pattern, my focus is off.

Baking bread sounds wonderful! I will be back to see how that turned out. I am always experimenting with bread baking. Not sure I really know what I am doing. I do share recipes when it turns out though. LOL

Happy Homebodies!
