Winter Days

There is something about the winter days which for me slow me down, maybe pausing would be a better description. The gray skies encourage me inward, inside. It's not a bad thing for in each season we have things which we enjoy doing. I don't want to garden all year, there needs to be a time of harvest, to gather and to retreat inside.

I'm finding me inside is just a worthy, whether it is baking, cooking or crafting winter season is perfect for what ails you, it causes us to reflect, and to plan, to create, and if necessary to rest.

As I get older, I find that I am more in tune with what my body/mind needs, and I don't need to run around and get stuff or do things. Sometimes it is best to just be. I used to get ansy when I wasn't running around and "accomplishing" something, it feels good to give myself permission to just be.

Enjoy your just be day.

I had a fun sewing day today, and will be knitting later. Winter enables me to sit back a bit more and take my time getting things done.

God bless.

I agree. With all the repair projects here, and making things pile up and moved and chaotic, I pat myself on the back for putting one item away. It is nice to get things back in order, but I do relish the hunkering in time during winter.
