Help yourself to some warm homemade Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, or a brownie.
Went out and about today to the garden nursery store, not far from my home but in a more rural setting than where I live. It is so good to anytime get out of Dodge. I picked up the Christmas Rose Pointsettia. I think I mentioned I've been getting this kind for years, and not everybody sells them. In fact nobody else around here does. They had about 4, they will get more. I chose one of the 4, and I picked up a Christmas Cactus, Henny had a beauty over at her place. This time I didn't get the fuschia/pink kind, this one looks to be white, and pale pink, it hasn't bloomed yet, but has lots of buds. I didn't get a picture of that but will when it blooms.
It really is lovely, one year I attempted to get it to rebloom, and was somewhat successful, but started to late. Maybe I'll try again this year. This is one of the plants which needs so much dark/light to bloom.
And I found this....wasn't looking.....isn't that how it always is. I've always wanted one, but never found one which struck my fancy. AND she was 50% off, I paid $18.00. She just struck my fancy all over the place. I do love Scarecrows.
She stands about 3' tall, what a doll. love the chenille face/hands. I gave a brief thought to putting her on the stoop out front, she would be exposed to the elements, animals, and driveby shoppers. So she stays inside. She will look cute next to the little wagon I got which stays in too.
I keep my seasonal things in tubs. My fall ones is by far the fullest, and Fancy won't fit in it. I don't buy much anymore alot of it is cheap looking a dime a dozen. It was just one of those pick her up and put her in the cart ask questions later type of thing. I didn't think or wonder if I should, she was coming home with me.I name everything. So she shall be called "Fancy", short for Fanciful.
When I was a young girl I like the word Fanciful, now I'm older, and I
still like that word. She is Fanciful Delight, Fancy for short.
I've had my fun, a few homestead details to get out of the way,
Peace!

Oatmeal cookies are on the docket for us today too. And isn’t it interesting how some things you just don’t even question? Sweet Fancy.
Fancy is just adorable Faith .. she would've had to have gone in my shopping trolley too!
No wonder you wanted a Christmas Rose Poinsettia. I've never seen one like it, so lovely!!
I keep my seasonal things in tubs too. Of course Christmas has the most tubs but after this season I'm getting rid of one one my artificial trees as well as many ornaments. I have accumulated TOO MANY.
Fancy is cute and I like that you name things. I used to know all the names of my Teddy bears but when I reached 50 I couldn't keep them straight any more. I did donate a good many last summer and I think I'm ready to give away more. I wouldn't mind so much except that no kid wants a teddy bear any more so they're not going to a new home they're going to sit abandoned in a thrift store.
My goodness but I do ramble on. Have a great day.
Yummy oatmeal cookies!! I will take a couple.
I also keep seasonal decor in tubs.
God bless.
The cookies and brownies look very tasty. I also love your new addition 'Fancy' she is adorable.
