Simple Joy Wednesday

 Hello Friend !

Thanks for stopping over, how ever in the world did you know I'd be so glad to visit with you

This is a Mask Free Zone- Take a nice deep breath of fresh air, go ahead your body with thank you.

I'm afraid I'm a little off track today, my schedule was a bit readjusted this morning, son had to go to work early, and my husband forgot his work phone. So I was off and running.  I'm home now, safe as a bug in a rug, after a trip to the grocery out of coffee and yogurt.

I found this little gem.....

 African Violets

I've always loved these little gems. It's been a while since I had one. They get really big and start to look raggedy. But they are hardy bloomers.

Like African Violets too?

  1. African Violets are so lovely and I always give in and buy one that has loads of buds. Once the blooms are all finished the plant continues to look okay but I can never get them to rebloom. Maybe a few scrawny flowers. Nothing like it should bloom. I feed them and make sure they get lots of light but nothing works. So I donate them to the thrift store and no doubt someone buys them and gets them to bloom as they should.
I love that pretty doily. It's called Pineapple pattern, right? My Mom loved that pattern.

    1. GM yes that is the Pineapple. My MIL gave this to me. It's lovely and vintage. The AV..I don't fertilize mine at all. I have some which re bloomed over and over, keeping them on the dryer side. I'll usually have 2 or 3 around and when they get to large and look tired I start over. I pretty much ignore them. Watering when they look a little droopy. They are delightful little plant and has lovely flowers.

    1. me too, I usually have them around. Just a delightful little simple beautiful plant which flowers often, coming to that time of year, we'll need that especially THIS year. Hang on it's going to be a wee bit bumpy.

  7. I had one for several years but that was long ago. They tend to like a drafty spot with sun which I didn’t have at the last place. Will have to think about it here. They are beautiful indeed 💕

  8. Our living room faces east/south. It can be bright, not alot of direct sun, but bright enough to get these lovelies to flower. I keep them on the dryer side, and they do bloom over and over.
