Yay! Isn’t it great to be able to eat something you grew?
It’s a wonderful experience.

Lettuce from the grocery store cannot be compared to the lettuce one grows right out the back door. My first crop has turned a bit bitter but now the second sowing is big enough to pick some leaves.

How wonderful, a great reward for all the hard work. I bet it tasted delicious.

How wonderful! My sprouts have been going gangbusters, and we enjoy a handful almost every day. My spinach never does too well; I think it's just too hot here. But we've had small and few baby spinach leaves twice so far this year. And yesterday, I was able to harvest a handful of snow peas for the very first time! Usually we get three peas at a time or six peas at a time. Not much of a meal!
