Tranisition to the quiet season

Hello Friends!

What's new in your neck of the woods?

We've had like so many others of you across the fruited plain, our 1st snowfall. It wasn't an overload, but enough to move around with the shovel. We get Lake effect snow here, the cold wind blows across unfrozen Lake Erie from our Canadian neighbors and we get large fluffy flakes.

Doing some thorough kitchen cleaning, new stove "expected" tomorrow? We decided on a Maytag. We had to replace the washer and chose Maytag, we've had a few of the others, I have a hotpoint stove now, wouldn't recommend it. It still works, it's putting a hitch in my baking, I have to watch anything I bake closely, the temp varies, and that stove gets really hot on the outside, sometimes the burners work sometimes not.

So anyway, some cleaning, I moved the fridge, and washed under there, I'll get behind the stove, and then do the rest of the kitchen.A nice fresh kitchen for my new stove and the holidays.

Our side door leads right into the kitchen, up 3 stairs, so everything gets tracked in, I wouldn't do that again if I had the opportunity to have a redo. When you are young...nothing is a problem.
Now....everything is...😉

Can we talk mops?

I am NOT a fan of swifter, finding a regular mop has been a challenge. Doesn't anybody have or make a sponge mop? Does EVERYTHING have to have all the bells and whistles?
My DH found me a Libman, 😁 Sometimes.....all that glitters is not gold.

I'm just saying.

That's about it for me today....maybe some hook moving, I'd like to try my hand at making a hat.
this should be interesting.

Have a wonderful day, and I'll see you at your place.

YOur tile says... Transition to the Quiet Season... And then you write about all this cleaning you have been doing. -giggles-

But yes, it is lovely to welcome a new stove, with a lovely clean kitchen. !!!!

And now, you deserve, some Quiet Season things... Like your needles.

I hope you'll like your new Maytag stove. Having the kitchen all spic and span will be great. I'd like to wash under and behind my fridge but I'm afraid I'll damage the hardwood floor when I pull it forward. Maybe if I put down cardboard in front of the rollers. That might work.
I actually like my Swiffer. It doesn't do as good a job as when I used to wash the floor on hands and knees but those days are no more.

Thank you all for stopping by and leaving your calling cards. When I put transitioning to the quiet season, I was refering to the noise outside the home, the loud motorcycles, the lawnmowers, etc. We have a neighbor who likes to party into the wee hours, with his biker friends... :( they get rather rowdy sometimes, and the bikes are loud and they rev, rev, rev and what not. Another neighbor, they fight and argue, police stop there on a regular basis. Ah...yes the quieter time indeed.

Happy Homebodies!
