It's Fall
...... I've peeled the apples we got last weekend at the orchard, and a apple pie is on the way.
I'm taking a break before I make the 1st pie crust.
.......... It is not fall out there in any way shape or form. Near 90 degrees today.
Remember when you were a little girl and you played pretend?
Remember....playing with Dollies?
Remember playing house?
I do remember playing with my dolls. I was the only girl in my family for well over 10 years and to make it even more lonely we lived on a farm. So my dolls were extra important to me.
ReplyDeleteI want to make an apple pie in the near future. I'm waiting for inspiration to hit me. *grinning*
Oh, yes, I remember those happy days in the playhouse. My little brother would play with me if I would agree to play cowboys with him. I liked that too!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! I played with dolls right up through seventh grade with my best friend Connie. The hours and hours we spent in happy pretend land. I was also big into paper dolls and spend many an evening designing, coloring and cutting out clothes for them. Can you imagine an 11 or 12 year old girl these days still playing with dolls?
ReplyDeleteToo hot and dry here to pretend it's fall! The county graded our road yesterday and now when someone passes real fast, we get dusted under.
ReplyDeleteInstead of saying "Let's pretend" we used to say "Let's play like". And yes, I played with dolls and played house in the crib at the barn and in the shade of trees on the hillside. Wonderful fun!!
I enjoyed so much all the comments. Playing pretend is such a important part of our childhood. I can remember playing with my best friend Bonnie, we had our Barbie dolls, still dressing them up and playing pretend into our early teens. Playing house and dressing up in mom's shoes clothes also...Such nice memories, I'm glad I didn't grow up to fast. You are young for only a short time.
ReplyDeleteHomemade apple pie.....with orchard apples........what could be better?
ReplyDeleteYes! I loved playing pretend. I would often spend many hours making mud pies pretending to have a bakery!
Such a sweet post. Yes, I played a lot with dollies and dress up and making mud pies! It was a carefree and sweet time!
ReplyDeleteLong hours at work.... Accident.... Dare I say, Full Moon Stuff???
ReplyDeleteThose long hours of work, are awful. They should not be allowed. A person can not function at full capacity, past a certain point. And to push the body, is just having to 'court' an accident, of some kind.
Glad he is ok though.
Hooray for the new, pretty light!
