Well, Good Morning Friends & Neighbors...
No farm market this weekend, I missed going, and soon it will be over for this year.
My DH had a rough week last week, filling in for a co worker, so he worked 12 hour days for the week, it culminated in an accident, he's okay other driver also. He works in transportation for the VA. There was a pipe bomb scare, an agitated very large man who needed pepper sprayed by the police, DH got a bit of that, and the accident. So this weekend kept it home and low key.
Saturday he did go to Menards with me, I really needed a new light for the kitchen, what was there ( or the remnants of it) it was a ceiling fan, put in by the previous owners. I never liked it, and it stopped working years ago, all that was left were the lights, I took the blades off. Of the 4 lights two of them worked, no matter how many times or how new the bulbs were.
After 24 years, it's in the trash 😉
We don't have a dining room 😒 we eat our meals in the kitchen. DH put it up for me last night. I was surprise, I thought it would remain in that box till the cows came home. I resigned myself to that. Youngest/tallest helped out. It looks really nice even with the light off. I think it has a rather Victorian look to it.
Have a good week, I'll be around to visit with you all!
A very scary time with so many unstable people out and about. Glad your husband wasn't seriously hurt in the accident. Sometimes those things can't be avoided, but it's still unpleasant to have to go through.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't having a small(?) thing like your new light installed seem like a big deal? I always wonder why we didn't "get at it" sooner when we go through something like that! ;o)
Have a wonderful week.
I'm so glad that your husband is okay. What a week he had!!
ReplyDeleteThe new light fixture looks great and yes, it does have a Victorian look.
Absolutely love your new ceiling light fixture. It's beautiful and I agree, quite the Victorian Look. So very happy for you that you also had it installed quickly so you can really enjoy. Sorry to hear the sad news about your husband. I hope that he can get rested up and things will settle down in your lives. The world can be such a scary place more and more these days. I'm already a home person; and all the news makes me want to be at home all the more. Take care and have yourself a good week.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read that your husband wasn't seriously hurt and that all is well is must have been a very scary experience.
