Good Day to you !
I've got my rainslicker/umbrella handy for today as we are having some fall weather here smackdab in the middle of Springtime.
Joining up today for Happy Homemaker Monday
it's my first time, these are fun and reminds me of the way we blogged back in the day before all the social media goings on...I prefer this by a country mile.
Weather: We already went over that...it feels like fall, ( which I love by the way) but not in Springtime.
Garden: Bought some lovely Cosmos this weekend at the new Menards, oh they are so pretty...but have not planted them yet..to cold. The Dusty Millers are planted they were getting root bound.
Menu: I made a pot of chilli the other day and today we will have chilli dogs with the left overs.
Tuesday: Beef Stroganoff, young/tall favorite and it's a big day for him...
Looking forward to:
( Eagle Scout Board of Review Day) The day my young/tall will become an Eagle Scout, all the work and preparation through the years, hard work does pay off. We are so proud of him.
The rest of the week....no clue, I don't do well at planning advance for meals....
In the kitchen/at the hearth,,,,it's a good day for bread baking. I don't do it every week anymore, but its a baking kind of day around here, it will warm our hearts and the house. I wanted to make Amish white bread, and DH wants the overnight sourdough bread...I usually like to make soup when we have that, oh soup and salad what a good combo with a good crusty bread.
On the hook:
I worked a little bit on the Victorian Lattice Square last night. I have 2 done, and I found a brand new craft pillow in the craft bin that I bought and did nothing with forever a go...so maybe I'll cover that....

Chili sounds perfect for today! We're having what is called "blackberry winter"; wild blackberries are blooming and the temperature is below normal for this time of year. We've had so much rain the gardens are much to wet to plant anything. It really feels like a good day to sit and crochet or embroider.
